SENNELIER STAND OIL
Oils, of vegetable origin, play the part of a binder when combined with pigment.
Used for Oil Paints, oils have an effect on thickness and texture of the paste, speed of drying and other factors.
Artists often mix more than one and create their own recipes.
Sennelier stand oil:
This bright, clear, honey-like medium heightens transparency and resistance to paint film cracking.
Made by heating pure linseed oil, it is excellent for glazing and leaves a beautiful enameled finish.
Stand oil is found in many medium recipes.
Thin 10-20% with spirits.
Add 25% maximum to total paint mixture.
